When Light Shines Darkness Is Overcome

Epiphany.Light

God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”  1 John 1:5

God has a message to tell those suffering under abortion’s dark deception. It is a message that floods the darkness of guilt and shame with the light of his mercy and grace, and overcomes it.

God’s message for those caught in the abortion deception is the same message for all of us: “If we say we have not sinned we make him a liar, and His Word is not in us.”  1 John 1:10.  If you are tired and weary of living in darkness, Jesus invites you to follow him in faith and you will have the light of life.  Jesus offers you a hope and a future.

  • When the light of Jesus Christ shines on a mother who had an abortion the painful darkness of the past is overcome by His mercy.  For God has promised whoever confesses their sin, He is faithful and just and will forgive their sin and cleanse them from all unrighteousness.
  • When the light of Jesus Christ shines on a dad, a nurse, a lab tech, a doctor, a judge, that have been complicit in abortion, not spoken up for those who cannot speak for themselves, the darkness and sin of shedding innocent blood is overcome.  “For God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

God gave up the very life of his Son, so that his Light would shine in your heart.  Jesus shed his own innocent blood on a cross to destroy the darkness so that your sin might be buried with him in the darkness of His tomb.   And the darkness of sin and death could not overcome it.  For after three days Jesus was raised from the dead and he gives eternal life to everyone who believes.

When the Light of God’s love in Jesus Shines, Darkness is Overcome.

If we say we have fellowship with Jesus, but walk in darkness, we lie.  But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7.
